Tammy Tadd
Bright, fresh and colorful are the words I always use when someone asks about the Tammy Tadd style! I can’t help it; I just love bright colors and fanciful designs.
As a child, my Grandma Bessie was a great inspiration to me…(of course I didn’t realize it at the time). I just knew that Grandma B. was a ‘whiz’ at all sorts of handiwork. I loved to watch her and see what she was crafting. Now that I am all grownup and have my own business, 'Tammy Tadd Designs', I find myself thinking back fondly to Grandma B. and taking inspiration from my memories of her handiwork. These inspirations have led me to develop over 80 quilt patterns and publish 7 books! I also have a line of greeting cards called ‘Merry Heart Cards”, specifically for quilters.
And the inspirations just keep on coming, which is a good thing now that I am designing fabric for Camelot Cottons! And even though Grandma Bessie isn’t with me any longer, I am fortunate to have my mother Velda by my side. With her 30 plus years of quilting experience there should be no end to the bright and fresh pattern and fabric designs coming from 'Tammy Tadd Designs' of Sycamore, Illinois.

Cameo AppearancesCameo Appearances combines two of my favorite childhood memories from my Grandma Bessie: her flowers and her jewelry. Grandma grew peonies and lilacs- I can smell them now! To me, my grandma's jewelry box was like a queen's treasure trove, which were off limits to "commoners" like me! I vividly remember her cameo brooches and pearls. This fabric brings these memories to life. |
