Marilyn Robinson

Hi….this is Marilyn Robinson and I guess 'artsy' should have been my middle name. I have always loved color, texture, and fabrics. As a child, (heck, what am I talking about….I still do this!) I loved making “new somethings” out of “old somethings”. (How does dying rice to make a colored Easter bunny on the back of a hard cover book sound to you? Ha! Ha!)

In 1975 I made my first quilt project after visiting a friend who was smitten with the art. My project was a set of 8 bumblebee placemats and I am proud to say that I completed the entire set. After that I was smitten too!

Since that time I have continued quilting while also exploring other ways to be creative. I became an illustrator for a pattern company and that has lead to fabric design.

I am never content to rest and continue to make “new somethings”. I hope that you will enjoy my collections with Camelot Cottons. I think you will find a palette of color and design that suits not only your quilting dreams but home décor as well. Happy New Somethings!
