Lisa Ann Ritscher
Hi, I’m Lisa Ann Ritscher from the farmlands of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. For 14 years I worked for an independent fashion fabric center. I learned everything there was to know about buying and selling fabrics!
In the years of buying fabric wholesale, including quilt lines, I developed at eye for purchasing what the public will buy. Along with being a quilter, that helped me understand patterns and groupings, color and design. I taught sewing too, from machine basics to serging. If the topic is sewing, I can teach it ...anything from bridal-formal wear to quilting.
In 1993, I met Sue Penn at an industrial sewing seminar. We hit it off instantly and have been fast friends ever since. I have enjoyed watching her develop her own lines of craft patterns and fabric designs over the years, so it was serendipity when she asked me to ‘whip up’ a fabric line for Camelot Cottons. All that previous experience sure has come in handy!
My husband, (who is a full time fire fighter and part time grain and cattle farmer) and I are still recovering from the "funk", of raising 4 children! We still can’t believe we have the house all to ourselves. I work full time in Time Management for a large corporation and am working on finishing my business degree. In between it all, I enjoy running around with my best girlfriends, doing lunch and power shopping. I am also in an informal group called the “Sewcialites”. We get together for sewing show and tells - complete with potluck dinners. All in all, ain’t life grand!

Jacqueline"One of my passions is botanicals. So when the opportunity to design fabric came along, I knew this was my chance to incorporate that love into my designs", says LIsa Ann Ritscher. "I think this is a perfect collection and palette not only for the quilter but the home dec sewer too! The sophisticated colors and patterns will add 'pizzazz' to any project." |
